Operator Licensing.

A company’s operator licence is a vital tool in the efficient operation of any company’s business, without it the company would cease to exist. To obtain or vary one is difficult and time consuming, but to loose one is very easy, to regain one is almost impossible.


We bring to the marketplace over 30 years experience of the direct management of Operator Licenses for fleets from 1 to over 1,000 vehicles. We have a vast experience in both EU and Domestic Regulations.


With our knowledge of the operator licence legislation we can administer any application or variation on your behalf, removing the stress and headaches and allowing you to concentrate on your core business activities.


We do not operate a “one off fee” system, all applications are individual and we would access your requirements and estimate the costs accordingly.

 

New Applications.

When you apply for a new operator licence the Traffic Commissioner will require you to show that you have the necessary systems in place to enable you to manage your licence within the conditions of that licence.

  • Assess your proposed licence application
  • Provide all the necessary documentation
  • Administer through to granting of the licence
  • Apply for an Interim Licence, where required

Licence Variations.

There are a variety of reasons for the need to apply for a variation to an Operator Licence

  • Change of existing or new operating centre
  • Change of nominated Transport Manager (CPC Holder)
  • Change in the number of vehicles “in possession now” or to the “margin” of a licence
  • Addition of new vehicles or removal of old vehicles from a licence
  • Any material change in the ownership, address or financial standing of the holder of the licence

If you require varying any of the conditions of your licence we can administer the variation application on your behalf.

Management Audits.

 The management of a vehicle fleet is very time consuming and takes time away from the business’s core business functions, we can provide a full audit service to ensure that your fleet is being operated in the most efficient manner, including:

  • Vehicle specification, purchase and/or leasing

  • Maintenance management
  • Fleet administration

Maintenance Compliance Audits.

  • Is your fleet maintained by an external contractor
  • Are you sure that the contractor is maintaining your vehicle/s to the standard required to meet the requirements of your operators licence
  • What is the pass rate of your vehicles when presented for MOT testing

We can provide a compliance audit service to ensure that your vehicles are maintained to the standards required. A simple “sidelight out” which is repaired at the testing station counts as a fail on your operators licence, the first you may know of these type of failures is when you receive a visit from a VOSA official. We can audit your vehicles MOT standards to ensure you maintain the highest possible test pass rate.
